Carpet Area
The usable floor area within the walls of a unit.
Carpet area is the net usable area of an apartment, measured within its internal walls and excluding shared spaces such as lobbies, lifts, and stairs. RERA mandates that prices and areas be quoted on carpet area, which is typically smaller than the 'super built-up' area developers historically advertised.
