Commencement Certificate (CC)

Permission to begin construction on an approved plan.

A Commencement Certificate is issued by the local authority permitting a developer to start construction after plans are sanctioned. Construction begun without a valid CC is unauthorised. Buyers can ask to see the CC to confirm a project has the required approvals before booking.
