Power of Attorney (PoA)
Authority for one person to act for another.
A Power of Attorney authorises one person to act on another's behalf, including in property dealings. A General Power of Attorney (GPA) is broad; a Special Power of Attorney is limited to specified acts. A property sale based solely on a GPA, without a registered Sale Deed, does not transfer ownership.
