Khata Certificate
A document confirming a property is on the municipal register.
A Khata Certificate is issued by the local body to confirm that a property is entered in its records and is required for purposes such as applying for water or electricity connections and for property transactions. It is distinct from the Khata Extract, which carries assessment detail.
