FSI / FAR
The ratio of buildable floor area to plot area.
Floor Space Index (FSI), also called Floor Area Ratio (FAR), is the ratio of a building's total floor area to the area of the plot on which it stands. Local authorities set permissible FSI by zone, which determines how much can be built on a site. It influences density, design, and project economics.
